Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about importing a vehicle from North American auctions to your country
General
What is RogoLink?
RogoLink lists vehicles from Copart and IAAI auctions in Canada and the USA at one fixed price. When you order, we buy the vehicle on your behalf and ship it to your destination port, so you never have to bid or deal with the auction yourself.
Who can buy through RogoLink?
Anyone — private buyers and dealers alike. You don't need a dealer licence. Vehicles are bought for export, so they can't be collected, driven or registered in the USA or Canada.
Does it cost anything to create an account?
No. Browsing is free and needs no account. A free account lets you save vehicles, set up alerts and track your order.
Where do the vehicles come from?
Insurance companies, banks, rental fleets and dealers sell through Copart and IAAI. That's why many vehicles have some damage and sell well below retail. New listings are added to our catalog regularly.
Can you find a vehicle that isn't in the catalog?
Often, yes. Send us the make, model, year range and budget on WhatsApp or through the contact form, and we'll check what's coming up at auction.
Vehicles & Condition
What's the difference between a salvage title and a clean title?
A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss, usually after an accident, flood or theft. A clean title means it hasn't been written off. Each listing shows its title type under Condition & Title.
Does a clean title mean the car has never been in an accident?
No. A clean title only means the vehicle was never declared a total loss. It can still have had minor accidents or repairs, so always check the photos and the damage description.
Can I see or inspect the vehicle before buying?
Auction yards are closed to the public, so in-person viewing usually isn't possible. Every listing includes the auction photos, damage details and key specs. If you'd like more information about a particular car, message us before ordering and we'll tell you what's available for that lot.
Do vehicles come with a warranty?
No. Auction vehicles are sold as-is, and some faults (mechanical or electrical) can't be seen in photos. Budget for repairs, especially on vehicles listed with damage.
Buying & Pricing
How is a fixed price different from bidding?
At auction, the final price isn't known until bidding ends. RogoLink shows one price upfront: if it works for you, you reserve the car and we handle the purchase. No bidding wars and no last-minute surprises.
What's included in the price?
The price shown is for the vehicle. Ocean shipping and your country's import duties are quoted separately once we know your destination, and we confirm the full quote before you pay.
How do I reserve a vehicle?
Open the listing and click "See Final Price & Reserve". Our team checks the vehicle is still available and confirms your final quote. You then pay the agreed deposit to lock in the car, and we buy it and ship it to you.
What happens if the vehicle is no longer available?
We'll let you know and refund what you paid for it, or apply it to another vehicle if you prefer.
Can I cancel my order?
Contact us as soon as possible. Once a vehicle has been bought at auction for you, the purchase generally can't be reversed, and costs already paid out (such as auction and transport fees) may not be refundable.
Payment
What payment methods do you accept?
Visa/Mastercard and international bank transfer. Contact us if you need another arrangement.
When is my payment confirmed?
Your order is confirmed once we've received and verified your payment. Bank transfers take 1–2 business days to arrive, so allow for that if you're paying a deposit to hold a car.
Which currency are prices in?
Prices are shown in your local currency where we support it, with the US dollar figure alongside. Auctions are paid in US dollars, so local prices follow the exchange rate.
Shipping & Delivery
How long does delivery take?
Typically 6–9 weeks from purchase: a few days to complete the purchase, about a week of transport to the export port, 4–6 weeks at sea and up to a week to clear your destination port.
How is the vehicle shipped?
Either roll-on/roll-off (RoRo), where the car is driven onto a specialised vessel, or inside a shipping container. We use whichever is safest and most cost-effective for your vehicle and route.
Can a vehicle that doesn't run be shipped?
Yes. Non-running or heavily damaged vehicles are usually loaded into containers by forklift instead of RoRo, which can cost a little more. Your quote takes this into account.
Can I put personal items inside the vehicle?
No. Shipping lines and customs don't allow personal belongings inside shipped vehicles, so the car must travel empty.
Can I track my vehicle?
Yes. Your dashboard shows each step, from purchase to port arrival and delivery, and we notify you at every milestone.
What can cause delays?
Auction processing, shipping schedules, bad weather, port congestion and customs inspections. We'll keep you updated if your timeline changes.
Customs & Documents
Do you handle customs clearance?
We'll help you understand the import process for your country. Duties, taxes and local rules vary, so we quote them once your destination is confirmed.
Are there age limits on imported vehicles?
Many countries limit the age or type of imported vehicles. Tell us your country and the car you like, and we'll confirm it can be imported before you pay.
What documents will I receive?
The vehicle's title (or salvage certificate), the bill of lading and your purchase invoice. You'll need them for customs clearance and local registration.
